May
25, 1999 - WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
BARBARA: In 1982 Barbara married Ray Ganucheau.
They are still married, live
in New Orleans, and have 4 kids: Weston (16), Paulina (10),
Savanna (6) and Harry
(born August 1998). In 1991 the family was living in Los
Angeles and Ray joined the
band "Continental Drifters". The band relocated back to New
Orleans, and
at one point, Ray was hospitalized for an aneurysm in his shoulder and
decided that he
would leave the band. In 1995 "Babs Guitars and Drums" was
formed with
Barbara, Ray, and Chris Luckette as members. Barbara stopped
performing when she
became pregnant with Harry. She marks her return to music
with the Cold's Reunion
gig.
KEVIN: Kevin is living in New Orleans and is working for a CD distribution firm.
BERT: Bert is living in New Orleans and is the director of the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter.
CHRIS: Update coming soon.

Jan 28, 1999 - COLD
PLANS 20TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION
The Cold is planning a
"20th Anniversary
Reunion"! Original
members (Barbara, Bert, Chris, Kevin, & Vance) have agreed to
reunite for two
performances, Friday and Saturday nights after Thanksgiving. The venue
has been booked:
The Howlin' Wolf in New Orleans. But wait... there's more...
a few weeks before the
reunion, the Cold plans to release a new CD - a compilation of "live"
tracks
featuring fan favorites not previously released. The recent success of
the 1997 CD
"Three Chord City" and a little urging from fans convinced the band
that this
would be a worth-while project. Hours upon hours of "live"
performance
archives have reviewed in the studio, in order to find the best sound
quality. Fans have
submitted photographs to be considered for inclusion. The
new CD was originally
scheduled for a Christmas 1998 release, but was put on hold due to
other endeavors (read
below). The project is back on track and the new plans calls
for the CD to be
released to coincide with the reunion. Its getting Cold
outside!
